Fargo, North Dakota – February 10, 2014: Packet Digital, a Tier One member of Defense Alliance’s Advanced Power & Energy Cluster (APC) has been awarded a contract with the U.S. Army’s Rapid Equipping Force (REF) to reduce power in several Army platforms, including a satellite terminal, a mobile cellular radio system, an IED (improvised explosive device) signal jammer, and a mobile computer. Packet Digital will integrate their PowerSage® Power Management Integrated Circuits (PMICs) with its patented and award winning On-Demand Power® technology; and the company will also use their power management expertise to add On-Demand Power capabilities into the Army platforms, improving power conversion efficiency and reducing wasted power and heat.
