Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Joel Jorgenson
Joel Jorgenson, Ph.D., has extensive research and development experience
in both low-power and high-performance electronics systems. Prior to
founding Packet Digital, Dr. Jorgenson was an Electrical Engineering
professor at North Dakota State University. Jorgenson has conducted
research and published articles in several disciplines, including signal
integrity, advanced packaging, testability and advanced design methods.
Dr. Jorgenson also worked for nearly 10 years at Rockwell Collins
developing microprocessors, application-specific integrated circuits and
system-level solutions for cockpit electronics and flight-critical avionics.
Chief Operating Officer, Terri Zimmerman
Terri Zimmerman has wide-ranging business expertise working with private
and public companies. Zimmerman has served as COO and CFO of several companies,
including Dakota Technologies, Wamnet, and Great Plains Software. At Wamnet,
she raised $300M, enabling the company to build one of the world's largest
intranets and secure a $900M government contract. While CFO and Vice President
of Operations at Great Plains Software, she had a leadership role in growing
revenue from $25M to $200M and executing a successful initial public offering.
Zimmerman was recently appointed to an economic development board by John
Hoeven, Governor of North Dakota.
Advisor, William A. Owens
William A. Owens serves as Managing Director, Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer of AEA Investors Asia, a private equity company, since April 2006 and
also serves as the non-executive Chairman of the Board of CenturyLink since
July 1, 2009. Formerly, Mr. Owens served as Vice Chairman, President and Chief Executive
Officer of Nortel Networks Corporation, a global supplier of communications
equipment, from 2004 to 2005, and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Teledesic LLC, a
satellite communications company, from 1998 to 2003. Prior to that, he
served in the U.S. military from 1962 until 1996 holding various key
leadership positions, including Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
He is currently a director of Polycom, Inc., Wipro Limited, and Intelius Inc.
He has served as a director of AEA Investors, LLC, Flow Mobile, Unifrax
Corporation, Amerilink and was Chairman of the Board of Embarq within the
past five years.
Advisor, Dr. Rajesh Gupta
Rajesh Gupta, Ph.D., is currently a Computer Science professor and holds the
QUALCOMM Chair in Embedded Microsystems at the University of California San Diego.
He has authored more than 150 articles and two books on various aspects of
embedded systems, design automation, datapath synthesis and system-on-chip
modeling. Dr. Gupta is a Fellow of the IEEE. He currently serves as
Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Design and Test of Computers, and Chair of the steering
committee on IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing.
