Job Description:

The role of the ASIC Engineer is to develop solutions for external and internal development activities in monolithic CMOS silicon designs. Design responsibility will flow from capturing design requirements, creating conceptual designs, integrating into physical layout, creating documentation packages, and validating using external test means. Candidates must be able to work in a team based fast paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of system environment to contribute to overall component architecture.
  • Development of design documentations for component design.
  • Development of component models at the conceptual, behavioral, and physical level.
  • Analysis of computer aided design tools and methods for simulation and design.
  • Development of advanced test structures for on-chip and off-chip testability of designs.
  • Validation of designs for testing silicon designs.
  • Development of test fixtures and test vehicles.
  • Assistance in integration into higher level products.
  • Representation of Packet Digital at internal and external meetings.
  • Assistance in developing proposals for competitive contract awards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering.
  • Experience with Analog CMOS/BiCMOS design or Verilog/VHDL design.
  • Experience in advanced modeling and simulation using computer aided design tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in electrical or computer engineering.
  • Three(3)+ years of ASIC experience.
  • Knowledge of PLL, Regulator, or RFID design.
  • Knowledge of SystemVerilog.
  • Experience with Mentor Graphics CAD tools.
